CARF and coronavirus…these two words surely do NOT go together! But despite this whole unprecedented situation, what this has shown is CARF is nothing if not responsible and resilient.

Before the nationwide closures, CARF’s leadership met to make the challenging decision to postpone the national patient conference scheduled for April 24 – 26 in Nashville. No matter the discussions that ensued about hotel cancellation fees, anticipated registration refunds, and the multitude of administrative challenges, the conversations continually circled back to the safety and welfare of our members, their families, and the community. Our staff worked quickly to secure a new date for the conference and immediately pushed communications to conference attendees and our general membership. We’re excited to see that many of our attendees are rolling over their registrations to attend in November or letting CARF retain their fee as a donation.

CARF is keenly aware of the concerns from our members regarding the coronavirus and their hair loss conditions. Again, our team worked swiftly to host a live webinar lecture with Dr. Maryanne Senna, who will be presenting and answering questions from CARF members on Thursday evening, March 19 on Facebook and CARF’s YouTube channel. For those who cannot attend, the link to this informative session will be available for future viewing.

Stick with us for your CARF updates!
