Graham – Little Syndrome
Symptoms and Causes
This is a rare condition which presents with a combination of lichen planopilaris of the scalp, lichen planopilaris of the body, and non-scarring hair loss in the axillary or pubic regions. These can present simulataneously or over a period of several months.
Diagnosis & Treatments
The diagnosis is achieved with scalp biopsy, usually taken from multiple locations as indicated. Treatment involves use of topical steroids, oral anti-inflammatory medications such as doxycycline, and oral hydroxychloroquine. Other more advanced therapies as used to treat lichen planopilaris can be introduced as necessary.
