In-person conferences have been held in 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018, providing a valuable platform for scarring alopecia patients to connect face-to-face. Due to the pandemic in 2020, SAF pivoted to online conferences in 2020 and 2023. This transition to a virtual format has allowed SAF to reach an even broader audience, ensuring that patients from all over the world can participate without the need for travel.
