Maryanne Senna, MD

is a board certified dermatologist and Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School. In addition to adult and pediatric general dermatology, she also co-directs the Hair Loss Clinic at MGH and is Principal Investigator of the Hair Academic Research Unit at MGH, a clinical trials research unit dedicated to hair loss disorders.

Dr. Senna completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Massachusetts, where she served as chief resident. She received her medical degree (MD) with Research Honors from the Tufts University School of Medicine. She is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross where she obtained her bachelor’s degree (BA) with honors in Russian and Sociology.

Dr. Senna has published several articles and abstracts in dermatology journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Archives of Dermatology. She has authored an online publication for eMedicine as well as a book chapter on conducting clinical trials in dermatology and is a member of SAF’s Board of Directors, serving as Vice President.
